The sun rose to a wet earth

    Kissed with your grace
The moon went to sleep on a bed of lilies
    That showed your fame
The pavement cracks left room for us to see
For all of us to believe

The trees they shake with anticipation
    Of your coming home
The grass bows down in exaltation
    Humbled before your throne
The dandelions of the field leap and take flight
    Quivering from your might

    Your people come before you
    Proud with chests stuck out
    Trying to ignore you
    Disproving with cases of doubt
Forgive us for these moments of hate and pride
And let us see the glory in your sunshine
