Here are the pictures from this past weekend's camping trip to Hamilton Branch State Park!

Here is a poem I wrote in elementary school.  My sister found it and I figured I would share it with everyone.

Let me dissect the poem for you, as it can go over many people's heads.

The use of colors is not a metaphor, but actual colors.  Roses genuinely are red, and violets are close enough to blue.  And, what most people miss- the writer (myself) was excited about the fact that he loves someone, and declares "Woo!" to the world.

The more you know.

I normally don't do this. I am strictly a "post-Thanksgiving" person. But we will be out of town next week, and I am a fan of making my wife happy :). So our tree is up.

If you have never heard of Truvia, you should.  It is a 0 calorie sweetener made from stevia plants and erythricitol (healthy sweetener).  It tastes like cake icing.  Want proof?

I heard this quote and couldn't get it out of my head, so this morning I decided to go ahead and make it into an graphic.

Music truly does speak universally.  It doesn't matter what the song is about, or what language it is in- anyone can find a way to connect with it somehow.  Whether it be through melody, rhythm, lyrics, or simply the overall feel of the song.  It doesn't matter how simplistic or complex you make it- you can connect.

We have a fun little houseguest staying with us.  Having a blast!
