Just in case you were curious, here are some blogs I read. I know I have that list on the side, but you don't know why each person is there. So here goes:
1) Donald Miller- www.donalmilleris.com. Surprisingly, I still have yet to read 'Blue Like Jazz'. I want to, but not reading this book has nothing to do with this book, except for that I don't read Donald Miller because I loved 'Blue Like Jazz'. I read his blog because it has some amazing thoughts on creativity, Christians, and imagination. Many times his posts are exactly what I was wanting to write about, or thought about writing, or after reading make me say 'wow! Why didn't I write about that!'
2) Pete Wilson- www.withoutwax.tv. Again, haven't read his book, 'Plan B'. But I want to, again. But I like Pete Wilson for the same reasons I like Donald Miller- he has some amazing thoughts on creativity and Christian thought. As the pastor of Crosspoint Church in Nashville, Tenn- one of the most creative cities in the country- he connects with the creative types that attend his church. A great read
3) Jon Acufff- www.stuffchristianslike.net. Read his book. This blog is a great read for humor and simple theology. By simple theology I mean easy to understand, not filled with seminary jargon, from the view of a layperson. And very funny.
4) Charlie Waddell- www.charliewaddellforcomptrollergeneral.com. This is my good buddy, Charlie. We've been friends since college; he is the person who really taught me to tap into my creativity and write various things. He is an amazing writer, and writes stories, poems, things from his life. But they are excellently written and a good entertaining read.
5) John Dukes- www.johnhdukes.com. I am John's intern, he has taught me so much about worship. Whether it be how to pick out a setlist, how to deal with musicians in a friendly way (if you don't know, us musicians can get a little moody- we are like 3 year olds but with a little better coordination), or how to efficiently lead others in worship while not letting my own worship suffer. His blog talks about the Christian life, worship, family, and Capstone.
So there is a short list for you, in case you were curious. You should at least check each of them out- and then decide if you want to subscribe. And if you haven't subscribed to my blog yet- just click on the RSS logo to the right next to the twitter logo. Then you can have the posts delivered to the reader of your choice.
