Love makes people do crazy things.
I myself have joined in on these things multiple times. And yet, I still don't understand it.

Like the boy who puts Valentine's Day chocolates in a girl's desk. He even puts his name on it, even though the girl doesn't know he likes her, and even though the boy will deny any feelings whatsoever for said girl.

Like the teenager willing to fight to defend a girl's honor, knowing he has no chance against the gigantic mound of muscle that spoke rudely to her. And when the boy gets laid out, and blood pours from his nose, and the girl leaves with the muscle- the boy still loves her.

Like the guy that proposes. for months he saves and plans for something that will pass in a second. Sure the ring lasts, but the event itself passes in an instant. And yet, that instant must be the perfect moment, or a series of moments. And when the time comes to get down on one knee, the guy freaks out, stumbles on words, and almost chickens out- even though he is positive she will say yes, because she told him she would two months before.

Like the man who decides to take his fiance out on a surprise date. For hours he find the perfect restaurant, and decides that spending his savings is worth it. He just wants to impress her, even though he doesn't have to.

Like the man who has been married for 40 years. One day his wife comes home to find the house full of her favorite flowers. There is no special occassion.

Like a God who watches His creation fall; who sends His only Son to go to earth, be ridiculed, mocked, spit upon, beaten, tortured, humiliated, hated, and killed in the most dehumanizing way ever created- just to give those fallen creatures a second chance. He even gives these creatures a choice: to either follow Him and accept that love shown, or to walk away.

Love makes people do crazy things.
