Life is living. I know that sounds redundant but so often we treat life like it is just a non-breathing, inanimate thing that we walk through. Life is not to be walked through. And many people have found this out, but many people are lost in the wilderness or, even worse, are content with watching life pass them by. Christ did not call us to leave life. In fact He told us he wants to give us abundant life (John 10:10). Christ wanted us to enjoy life! Not to deny every bit of it as we close our eyes to the pain and joy found in the world. That is the exact opposite of Christianity. The Bible is full of stories of people living. I challenge you to find one story about a dead guy who stays dead. Yes, people will die, but that is life. Death is a part of life.

Too many times Christians feel that they should go through life suffering by denying all worldly enjoyments. I don’t mean by this that people should engage in all worldly pleasures, because there are many pleasures of the world that are wrong and immoral- but there are many that are just part of life.

Life is a living thing. It breathes, it laughs, it runs. Do you?
